PARENT GUIDE · ONLINE CLASSES

Support learning without becoming the teacher.

The best parent support is usually simple: create the conditions for learning, encourage questions and pay attention to progress rather than hovering over every answer.

01

Create a consistent routine

Keep class time predictable. A regular routine reduces the daily negotiation about when learning starts.

02

Set up a distraction-light space

Headphones, a stable internet connection and a clear desk can make a bigger difference than expensive equipment.

03

Let the child ask the teacher

If a student is afraid to say “I don't understand,” the problem is not the technology. Encourage questions and normalize mistakes.

04

Review progress, not just marks

Ask what the child understands now, what still feels difficult and what the next target is.

05

Protect the learning relationship

A parent should not have to sit beside the student for every lesson. Give the teacher room to teach and the student room to become independent.

06

Talk to the teacher early

If motivation, pace or confidence is slipping, raise it early. Small adjustments are easier than fixing a large gap later.

A simple weekly parent check-in

Once a week, ask three questions: What did you learn? What was difficult? What do you want help with next? You don't need a second classroom at home. You need a calm learning environment and a clear communication loop.
