Adjectives describe nouns by giving information about their qualities or characteristics.
fast → faster → fastest
Comparative adjectives compare two things and show a higher or lower degree of a quality.
interesting → more interesting → most interesting
Superlative adjectives compare three or more things and show the highest or lowest degree.
Use than with many comparative forms.
“Than” is commonly used after a comparative adjective when the second item is named.
