The ball is between the chairs.
“Between” shows a position or relationship involving two people or things.
She walked through the gate.
“Through” shows movement from one side of an enclosed or bounded space to the other.
We travelled across the bridge.
“Across” shows movement from one side of a surface, area or place to the other.
